Ryan A. Ross, archivist in the University of Illinois Library’s Illinois History and Lincoln Collections, received his B.A. in English and M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. He is the author of a monograph, Early Illinois Newspapers and Job Printers: The Terence A. Tanner Collection, and articles on nineteenth century print culture, historical archaeology, and early Illinois history. Ryan currently serves as Development Coordinator of the Midwest Archives Conference, the nation’s largest regional professional organization for archivists.
